Recycle your Fluorescent Bulbs

Pennyrile Electric has made recycling your fluorescent bulbs a little easier. Drop off your used fluorescent bulbs at any Pennyrile Electric office, fill out a questionnaire, and we will take care of the rest. This service is at no charge to those who participate.

Pennyrile Electric encourages the use of compact fluorescent bulbs in place of incandescent. CFL’s provide the same light output at a fraction of the cost of a standard incandescent bulb.

Although, neither the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency nor the Kentucky Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet require homeowners to dispose of residential CFL’s in any special manner outside of the regular household waste stream, Pennyrile Electric encourages the conscious effort to preserve our future and recycle whenever possible.
